• On-grid solar systems generate electricity from sunlight during the day to power your home, office, or industrial equipment. You don’t need to invest in expensive batteries, as the national grid acts as a virtual storage system for your surplus electricity.
• Electricity supplied to the grid during the day can be used for free at night. This significantly reduces your electricity bills. If the electricity you feed into the grid equals your consumption, your monthly bill can be zero. • During grid maintenance or power outages, the on-grid inverter automatically shuts down for safety reasons.
• On-grid solar inverters must comply with strict standards to avoid instability or technical issues in the national grid. The Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA) publishes an approved list of inverters, and installation must follow these guidelines.
